BIOCHAR

Biochar can save the world. As we all know our climate is changing and is affecting everything living. The mainstream media continues to talk about food shortages, energy tax, high water prices and shortages and worse but have yet to deal with or even acknowledge the very issues causing it and how we can reverse it, not just slow it down. Modern, conventional ag is the second highest contributor to greenhouse gasses aside from industry and the second runner up would be power and heat. Biochar can help all three categories by not just procrastinating the damage but by mitigating the problems and changing the point of energy harvesting. Though it can help with all three problems that does not mean that is all, we humans are still discovering the versatility of biochar and the many benefits.

The first, is just by making biochar we can take 50% of the carbon that would normally reenter the atmosphere from decaying plant debris, and turn it into a recalcified carbon that will not break down.

Second, would be how biochar can store billions of beneficial soil microorganisms, water and nutrients for potentially thousands of years or longer which means healthier, highly fertile soil to grow plants quicker thus sequestering carbon for frequently and quicker.

Third, is that when we are making the biochar, if we are doing it correctly we can capture the energy (heat and gasses), being separated before they are emitted into the atmosphere and redirect them. This means while we are making biochar we can heat our house, stove, greenhouse or even pool, we can ignite another biochar kiln or even energize machinery. The sky is the limit.
